Last night Winmalee Pumper, 1A, 1B, PC, East 3, Fire Rescue NSW and NSW Police attended to an AFA at the sewage treatment plant in Winmalee. Upon investigation it was found something had happened in the laboratory. Fire and Rescue NSW declared a HAZMAT incident. Sulfuric acid was the main concern for firefighter. FRNSW firefighter dressed in spill suits entered the room and declared the area safe. NSWRFS BA crews provided fire protection through the entire incident.
