Another big weekend of training completed for Winmalee RFB! With 5 members starting there Village Firefighter course and 1 member completing there chainsaw course.

Tomorrow Winmalee RFB will be taking Winmalee Pumper to the Autumn festival at St Thomas Aquinas, if your around the area come check us out!

This weekend Winmalee RFB is hard at it, with Training again. With 10 people attending the Advanced Resus Course. 7 firefighters sitting for there Basic firefighter exam and 8 people heading out to Rydal for Truck recovery training.

Congratulations to the 6 Winmalee, 2 Glenbrook, 1 Woodford, 1 Medlow Bath RFB members and East 3 in passing the first USAR Course run for the RFS. These members are now classed as Cat 1 USAR operators.

This weekend 6 members of Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade will head to Lithgow to be trained in Urban Search and Rescue (USAR Cat 1), This course will be one of the first ever of its kind run for the Rural Fire Service.

Today Winmalee was paged to oil on the road near Whitecross Road, Winmalee. Crews arrived and a spill was cleaned up with Spag Sorb.

Earlier today Winmalee was paged to oil on the road at Hawkesbury Bends. Oil was located but due to the heavy rain it was washed away. Crews investigated further and with police and FRNSW on scene it was decided to place a stop on the call.
