Have you got a pool? The Static Water Supply (SWS) program is aimed at identifying properties with a water supply ie pools. In the event of a fire the SWS sign and your backyard pool may save your house.
A small ID plate with the letters S.W.S is placed in a visible location in consultation with the property owner.
Your pool will only be used as a last resort during major bush fires. The SWS sign is provided FREE.

Crews from Winmalee RFB, Faulconbridge RFB and Park Air 4 Chopper have investigated the smoke that is currently enveloping the lower mountains. No fire was found. There is smoking drifting onto the mountains from what turns out to be a hazard reduction on the plains. Again if you see an unattended fire contact 000 immediately! Today Winmalee 1A, 1B and numerouse other fire appliances responded to assist faulconbridge 1 at large area of bush alight, off Chapman Prd, Faulconbridge. Units were on scene for 4 hours blacking the fire out.
