Today Santa Visits Winmalee, Yellow Rock & Hawkesbury Heights. We have all had a rough few months, today we bring a little smile to those little faces.

At 1450hrs today Winmalee RFB was paged to bush alight near Tall Timbers Rd, Winmalee. Crews from Winmalee RFB and FRNSW responded and spend 3 hours containing and blacking out the area of bush alight. All crews have now been stood down.

39.5C in Springwood at 1330hrs today.

Have you seen an increase in Wildlife around your home? During Saturdays Training we have seen multiple Wallabies, large lizards, possums and during the evening a few Owls.
After recent events, Wildlife will be on the search for food and water. And usually your backyard contains all that. I am no animal expert so if any one has any suggestions to assist this wildlife please feel free to comment. And remember if you do find a injured wild animal please call WIRES on 13000WIRES.

We have a missing Staffy on our hands! Anyone recognise this pup? Found on the corner of Linksview and Hawkesbury Rd, the other day. If you know the owner or are missing the pup please contact us ASAP and will put you in touch with the resident. The pup is being held by a Winmalee Resident. Please share!

Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 2 new photos.

One of the more inspiring donations we received just after the fires. A teacher and some students from the Ponds School dropped by with a cheque for us together with this beautifully framed Thank You. It now hangs proudly in our Station. Thank you to the teachers & students, it means a lot to us all.

The Ponds School is a newly established school for students with moderate or severe intellectual disabilities. Many of our students have additional disabilities, including autism, physical or sensory disabilities and/or emotional disturbance.

Currently the school is situated in the grounds of Riverstone High School with a soon to be purpose built school scheduled to be opened on The Ponds Boulevard at The Ponds in 2015.

It was opened in 2012 with 4 Kindergarten classes and quickly grew to 8 classes with students from Kindergarten to Year 3 in 2013. In 2014 it is expected that the school will include 12 classes and the move to the new premises will bring the school to 16 classes in 2015.
