Today Winmalee 1A, PC and RP445 responded to bush alight along Springwood Ridge Fire Trail. Crews investigated for 3 hours but found nothing.

FYI ONLY – The smoke covering the Mountains, Esp Upper Mountains, is coming from the Fire burning 50km North in the Wollemi National Park.

Our thoughts for a speedy recovery to the 2 Firefighters and 3 Police Officers that were injured in a gas explosion in Victoria last night.

Does anyone know this dog? Found at Winmalee service station tonight. Currently safe at Yellow a Rock will be taken to the vet in morning for microchip scan, if you know the owner please post here or send PM.

FYI ONLY – The smoke currently around the Mountains is from a remote fire burning 50km away in the Wollemi. There is a predicted wind change at 3pm today, which should assist in clearing the smoke.

Tonight Winmalee Pumper and RP445 responded to a kitchen Fire along Yellow Rock Rd, Yellow Rock. On arrival crews found the fire has self extinguished. Crews treated a small burn to a occupant and check for hot spots.

Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade will be at Hawkesbury Lookout Tonight. Selling hot dogs and soft drinks, and watching the fireworks over the Sydney Basin!

Today Winmalee 1A and Winmalee Pumper were paged to investigate a smoke sighting in the Paterson Rd Area. After a in depth investigation, crews extinguished a small backyard fire.
