Today Winmalee Pumper, 1B, RP445A, RP445B, NSW Police and NSW Ambulance responded to a confirmed structure alight along Stapylton street, Winmalee. Crews extinguished the small fire and ventilated the house.

Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 9 new photos.

A very big thank you to Sherry Mendoza and the crew who ran Camp Mojo at the Hunter Valley Retreat last weekend. Sherry is an ex pat, living in the US and travels around the world holding scrapbooking and craft classes and weekend retreats. The Friday night is usually an auction and having watched the news last year of the devastating October fires, Sherry decided to donate all funds from the Auction to the brigade to assist in the rebuilding of our Yellow Rock Station that burnt down during the fires. One of our members auctioned off a shirt onto which were printed photos from the recovery following the fires. A bargain at $350. Thank you Sherry and god bless. Thank you also to Vonda of The Hunter Valley Retreat for her great hospitality.

Tonight Winmalee Pumper, Winmalee 1A and FRNSW 445 responded to reports of bush alight in Winmalee. A small backyard camp fire was extinguished by the resident and all crews returned.

Today Winmalee 1 Alpha assisted along with other east sector brigades in the Vietnam Veterans Day march. It was great to see so many attend to honor our veterans and great to see the rain hold off

FYI – The lady who has been missing in Blackheath has been found Safe and Well.

Today Winmalee PC and a crew of 4 has been committed to a S&R at Blackheath.
