Urgent Update- Bushfire at Warrimoo Southside of GWH – Emergency Warning – if you live in the area Activate your Bush Fire Survival Plan Now.
Fire Update – The fire is classed as Out of Control. The fire is at Emergency Warning. Trains have been stopped between Blaxland and Warrimoo. Numerous Fire appliances are on scene from NSWRFS and FRNSW. Numerous helicopters and the Aircrane are bombing the fire. Out of area Appliances are also on scene. Appliances are still responding to this fire, please safely give way to them on the roads.

Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 7 new photos.

A few pics of the trail work completed on Tuesday following the trail marking completed by Winmalee the day before. With the assistance of a few other brigades and some brilliant heavy machines, an increased level of protection has been provided for residents in areas close to the Cliff Drive fire last Saturday. A good effort by everyone involved.

Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 6 new photos.

Winmalee 1 Alpha returned to Katoomba today and was tasked with surveying possible strategic lines to protect homes in a number of streets in the fire affected area. The same crew will return Tuesday to work with heavy equipment following the lines blazed today. One of our members also assisted the RAFT (Remote Area Fire Team) working from the floor of the Megalong Valley. A good days work.
