An emergency warning is in place for residents in the Warrimoo and Valley Heights area due to a bush fire burning. A southerly change has caused a fire in the area to flare up and it may impact on homes.
Current Situation
The fire has flared up as a southerly change has moved through the area. Burning embers are being blown north towards Greens Road in Warrimoo, and Russell Avenue, Coolabah Road and Angophora Place in Valley Heights.
The fire may impact on homes in this area.
Be aware of burning embers. If the fire does impact on your home, seek immediate shelter to protect yourself from the heat of the fire.
Emergency Alert telephone warnings are being sent to homes and mobile phones in the area.
Firefighters are working to protect homes in the area.
Advice
If you are in the area around Greens Road in Warrimoo, and Russell Avenue, Coolabah Road and Angophora Place in Valley Heights, be aware of burning embers.
