Winmalee Rural Fire Brigade added 16 new photos.
Another great few weeks working with the Cadets at St Columba’s College. Following the guidelines of the Basic Firefighters Course the cadets have learnt to roll out canvas hose, fit nozzles, direct water steams and return all equipment to the fire truck. Lessons have included casualty assistance, the use of hand held fireground radios and exposure to other local emergency services. While fire fighting is a serious business, cadets and facilitators alike are having fun and the Year 10 students don’t mind getting wet. And, NO, you can’t order pizza over the fireground radio. !!!
