A photo taken by one of the crew at the Hazard Reduction (HR) we assisted Linden Brigade with last Tuesday evening. As you can see the ground fuel and understory burnt very well and achieved the desired result. That was to reduce the fuel that a Bushfire feeds on and to do it under controlled conditions. The additional benefit from this exercise is that our crews gain invaluable experience in dealing with live fire and particularly our newer members who have passed their basic training.
